Earlier in January this year, the Elders began searching for candidates to fill the role of an Executive Manager in Bukit Arang. The Elders are pleased to announce that Sim Jiamin has been appointed with effect from 1 July 2020.
Reporting to the Senior Pastor, Jiamin will support the pastoral team in operationalising and executing the Church’s ministry vision and goals. This includes, amongst others, managing Bukit Arang’s corporate functions (Finance, Human Resources, Legal, IT, Corporate Events, Operations, Administration etc.) and both internal and external communications strategies. Her other responsibilities include maintaining and forming external ministry collaborations with like-minded partners both locally and overseas.
Jiamin joined Bukit Arang as a member in 2013. She is currently serving as a bible study leader in the adult community care group and is also a pianist in the Church’s music ministry. Before joining Bukit Arang, Jiamin was the Strategic Communications and Marketing Lead for a consulting firm. She has over 10 years of experience in the marketing communications industry and has held roles as both a public-relations consultant and in-house marketing and corporate communications specialist. Jiamin also practiced as an engineer for 2 years and graduated with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering from the University of Wollongong in 2007. She and her husband, Wei-Loong, have been married for 4 years.
